    Pretty basic but clean. Nice that they had fire pits. Lots of mossies.

    Though the beach is nice but lacks facilities for day trippers like us. No facilities or shed to have food. And I was expecting to see the sting rays but left with no luck.

    I have been coming to this place for 10 years plus. Good bush/beach camping for people with kids. Good fishing in winter gor the salmon run

    My partner and I have just returned from a 4 night 5 day holiday at Hammelin Bay. We stayed in an " ocean view cottage".

    The cottage was pristinely clean with all one could want for a holiday experience. Quite frankly, it puts Rotto chalets to shame. Hammelin Bay is a must " to do" holiday. The Bay itself is uninterrupted pristine beach and the most beautiful azure waters. Snorkelling, surfskiing,fishing,swimming,walking , wine on the beach at sunset...were at our fingertips.
