As of Dec 2016 the main building - a soon-to-be gallery and gift-shop - is still being built, but don't let that deter you! The park and all the sculptures are ready and open for the public.

Some of the pieces are left to change colour before the next stage of the creation , others are part of a story or an event ,

Lots of big bold wooden sculptures in a sandy landscape of succulents. An eccentric endeavour, and still a work in progress, but very interesting!

Check it out if you're traveling between the capes and want to see an attraction that's unlike anything else you'll find in the region!

I rated this place 4 out of 5 stars because it has got quite some potential, but part of the Park is not finished yet. Once it's complete I'm happy to give it 5 stars.

Yes The park I have created is 20 years of life using the amazing west australian hardwood timbers , stone , the landscape and recently I've been building a large gallery / workshop from recycled JArrah .

It's just behind the beach at magical hamelin bay where the history of Western Australia's timber industry started .

Large scale wood carving is an art using power tools and working with the timbers energy

My work is not for everyone and it's based on the divine aesthetic " wabi sabi " where the beauty of natural form and appreciation of imperfection is inspiring .

At the entrance is an amazing natural piece of a lion eating a wildebeest that many people walk past without even realising . Once you feast your eyes on what's there and walk around it and " see" then it speaks to you

There's no " finished " it's an evolving space nestled in the coastal Heath . The garden is all natural with a small variety of succulents and a fig tree been added .

The Margaret River sculpture park was quite a surprise to me when I first visited. The owner/creator of the park, Brendan, is quite a character with a rich background of woodworking and craftsmanship that come together in his giant carvings.

If you don't think it's worth your time I ask you to take the entry fee back but for those who enjoy it and the friends and family they bring along I thank you for calling in and look forward to creating work for many years to come
